PLANTING SEEDS
Our story unfolded over three generations ago at a small shop in Karachi, Pakistan. Our grandfather Mohammad Ali Salim, a partner in the firm in Karachi was searching for expansion possibilities. Being an entrepreneur and a curious soul, he wished to explore the growth potential in the developing city of Lahore.He shifted to Lahore along with his wife and son where he opened the doors of his first store in the historic streets of Anarkali, planting the seeds of what the world now knows as Salim Hardware. As the growth in Lahore was gaining momentum, the demand for building supplies was increasing. His easy going personality and far sightedness led the store to gain popularity.

 

GROWING ROOTS
Zakir, his only son took ownership of the store and gained mastery over the products, materials, design, production, supply chain, retail management and customer service.

SEEDLING TO A TREE
Working with industry professionals, leading architects and designers, the need for customization became apparent. The desire to find solutions for the clients became the driving force towards launching bespoke collections that cemented Salim Hardware as the industry leader that makes the “impossible possible” furthering the store’s growth.

 

GROWING BRANCHES
Today, Salim Hardware is managed by his children. Under Zakir’s expert guidance, they continually strive to expand their product lines and facilitate designers in bringing their vision to life.
